Innocent Question? or not?

So Bailee just came in from outside, gives me a kiss than askes me if poison will kill you. I believe in the truth with few exceptions so I told her that yes poison can kill you or just make you sick. She smiles kisses me and goes back outside. Well another five minutes passes and she comes it looking sick I mean white faced and scared. She comes up to me and says "Mom I have something to tell you" I say ok. She then proceeds to tell me "I touched a poison berry". She is on the verge of tears and I first reassure her that indeed she will be ok. After talking for a few moments with her I realize that she was coming in to tell me she was going to die. What a weight for a five year old to bear even for a few minutes. I guess another lesson learned on my part to be a bit more specific when answering questions and also to look for the meaning behind my kids questions. Another 50 points for Bailee. I'm certainly not winning any Mom awards today.
